Multifunctional properties of smart materials
University of Maryland
Prof. Tubaldi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. She received her Ph.D. degree at McGill University in 2017 in Mechanical Engineering. Her research interests sit at the interface of nonlinear dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, and soft materials for applications in mechanical metamaterials, soft robotics, and biomechanics. She is author of several peer-reviewed international journal papers (Nature Communications, Physical Review E, J. of Fluids and Structures, J. of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials, and Int. J. of Nonlinear Mechanics among others).
Recently, she has been awarded the 2021 NSF and USNC/TAM Early Career presenter Fellowship to ICTAM 2020+1 and the 2020 Haythornthwaite Young Investigator Award from Robert M. and Mary Haythornthwaite Foundation and ASME Applied Mechanics Division.Go Back
