Dr. Ibraheem Al-Naib is currently an associate professor with the Biomedical Engineering Department at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He completed his Ph.D. (with distinction) from the Technische Universität Braunschweig, Braunschweig, Germany in 2009. From Jan. 2010 to July 2015, he has been a postdoctoral research fellow with the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique and Queen’s University in Canada. With more than 3800 citations, his current Hirsch (h-) index, build up over the past ten years, equals 34. He authored and coauthored over 150 papers published in prestigious international scientific journals and conference proceedings. Moreover, he has been invited to many international conferences including the NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Detection of Explosives and CBRN in 2012, META’13, ICMAT 2019, and METANANO 2020. Furthermore, he served as a member of the program committee of the Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz) Conference in 2013. He is an editorial board member of Journal of Millimeter, Infrared and Terahertz Waves. His current research interests include biomedical sensing, high quality-factor planar terahertz metamaterials, and nonlinear terahertz response of graphene.
